COVID-19 Update

  1. I’m extremely disappointed with the delivery service of canpar.

    This is not the first time I’ve experienced this , but the most recent delivery has really took a toll.

    Most of the time there is an old guy in 50s who delivers my package and would not come up to the deliver the package and would wait downstairs in the lobby, it’s extremely difficult to deal with this every month with uncooperative guy.

    This time , the guy never visited or called or buzzed me to come up , rather he dropped off the package about 4 kms away from my home.

  3. Spoke with a very rude customer service representative on Friday February 4th, 2022 around 5 p.m. she wasn’t helpful at all + she had an attitude. When I asked for her name she hung up on me!

    Google is quite clear…..Canpar service is very poor.

  5. I would never use Canpar as a delivery service. I live in a rural area and my driveway is approximately 500 feet long. I received three packages from your company but I had to pick them up at the road. The driver left the packages beside my mailbox across the road from my house. Fortunately I was home and saw the driver. I yelled to him to bring the packages to my door. He yelled something back and continued to unload and then left. We have been receiving tens of thousands of dollars worth of toys from various retailers for Barrie Christmas Cheer. There has been no issue with any other courier company bringing the packages to my door and leaving them under my covered front porch. We are in a dispute with Walmart right now over an order that we never received. Walmart says the order was shipped and I am assuming it was your company that made that delivery as well. Again I am assuming that someone probably saw the packages on the side of the road and helped themselves to them. I can understand leaving a package in the mailbox if it fits but these were three 16”x48” boxes. This is the poorest service I have ever received from a courier company. My mailbox isn’t even on my side of the road. I will also be confirming whether it was your company that delivered the missing order. If I could have given 0 stars I would.

  6. Bad, Bad, Bad service. I just received my package from Canpar and have a video of the driver tossing my light fixture about 6 feet. A light fixture i have been waiting for 3 weeks. Well the video is clear and has sound of the box hitting the ground with a shatter sound of glass. The driver looks like he realized the incident and left. Thanks for NOT making my day!! I would like know who is responsible for that?

  7. WORST courier service ever!!!! Any business who uses them to ship, is only hurting themselves. My package has been bounced back and forth from Quebec to Alberta and they can’t get it right. So now I told them sender to have it sent back to them and refund me 100%. Absolutely terrible customer service. They don’t have a clue what’s going on and just tell you lies to make it sound like everything is on track. NEVER use them!!!! I wish I could give them a Zero star. JUNK!!!!

  8. Worst shipping service EVER ! Everytime it’s them a problem occurs. I have a business and i’m always there, they didn’t even try to come at the door . Other times they leave my package in the entryway of the building and it get lost or taken. I’m so so furious with them . Because of them I lost money on multiple times ! Will never recommend. I hate them

  9. The driver showed up unexpected (nothing ordered) with a parcel and drove straight through my electric gate ripping it and the electric fencing down and then just drove off. And CANPAR’s phone number conveniently refuses to allow you to contact a representative, it just keeps repeating the same message over and over again!

  10. Worst courier company ever. Pickups are never on time. We always have to call and follow up to see where driver is – but the phone reps most of the time cant even get a hold of them and don’t know where their drivers are.

    I won’t ever use again and I will be very loud about telling clients and others NOT TO BOTHER — if I could I would give a minus 5 rating —

  11. We ordered a package from a supplier who chose Canpar as their delivery company of choice. When we received our first notice re delivery from Canpar, we noticed that the delivery address was incorrect. We checked the info sent to Canpar and the address was correct, so someone at Canpar transcribed it incorrectly. I called Canpar and was told the queue was so long I should request a call back so I did. The call was never returned. I went on the Canpar “chat” and after holding for 15 minutes I chatted with an agent. I explained the issue and was assured that the address would be corrected. On the next update from Canpar, the address was still wrong. I called again and got the same message so requested a call back number. Again, I never received a call, I then tried the chat option and it kicked me out as the queue was too long to even offer a response.
    The package was in fact delivered to the wrong address.
    I realize that stuff happens but Csnpar’s level of service, ability to respond, commitment to service, effort to correct a simple error was non existent.
    Worst delivery experience I have ever dealt with.

  12. I don’t often complain about a company, but I’ve also never had this many problems with a company. I have had my order fulfilled by Canpar 5 times, and only one of those times I didn’t have a problem. Their customer service takes forever and the ‘music’ (ad played over and over) that you have to listen to is maddening. Their team never seems to know what’s going on either. I will call one day, have them NOT fix my issue, call again and get completely different information. Worst of all, each time I do have an issue it’s not just one call I have to make, it’s multiple. I once ordered a curtain rod that it took me almost 2 months to receive and at that point the store had restocked it. Shipping was only supposed to take a few days. I get that issues can come up and I’m a very patient person but Canpar needs to do better.

  14. The delivery person was very unprofessional and my item was a headboard which he through on the floor and the box was all ripped apart from the way he handled his delivery. I have witness to how he must handled my purchase. Will definitely let the company I place my order with let them now how crappy this company is. Hopefully this company will hire more caring delivery people.

I have been home and I get an email attempt to deliver like where and when I haven’t been able to get a hold of customer service or live chat this is a joke I can’t believe I’m having to deal with this and it was bought from Costco not happy at all. I could have got a truck and picked up my TV that was suppose to be a gift. I have been on the phone for more then 1 20 min this is ridiculous

  16. I mean they delivered on time but in a snow storm he got out of his truck and rammed the box into the snow bank, took a picture then drove away. If i wouldn’t have been home it would have been destroyed by the snow plow. If not stolen…Not impressed at all.

  19. i wish I had seen th ese reviews before I chose Canpar. My parcel is sitting in Burnaby too. I could have driven the parcel myself by now. It is absolutely ridiculous when all the other couriers are getting the job done. My question for others is – what can we do about it. I would like my shipping fees back at a minimum and the insured amount of $100 minimum. Hard to believe that this is allowed to happen. Does anyone know who else to contact?

  21. This is a terrible company….my package has been sitting at a sorting facility in Burnaby for over 2 weeks now,

    Live Chat is a joke had it open for 6 hours the other day no answer…tried today for an hour and nothing.

    Tried to call 1-800 # constantly busy…tried calling corporate head office …busy for days….tried caiing their technical support number…now answer

    Called Amazon to complain….they are dealing with these completely irresponsible jerks at Canpar

  22. I can appreciate the fact that it’s the holiday season amid COVID-19, however there’s no excuse for the total lack of customer service that I’ve been experiencing. A delivery was attempted to our house on the past Friday. We weren’t home so a note was left stating that they would try again on Monday. However, they tried on Saturday instead. We were home but didn’t hear the doorbell, if they rang. On Monday I attempted to reach their customer service department by phone. It rang busy each time I tried over a period of 45 minutes. During that time, in between re-dials, I tried their chat line and waited for the next agent to respond. This never happened – no agent ever responded. Later that day, I tried phoning and chatting again, also to no avail, however I was able to get through to a recording advising me that I can put my phone number in a queue and my call will be returned by the next available agent – never happened. The next day, Tuesday, I tried again with the exact same result. No agent joined my chat or returned my phone call. So, I tried their technical support line. You guessed it, busy, busy, busy. All I wanted to know was where I could go to pick up my parcel. It’s in the ether probably never to be seen again (and fully paid for). Needless to say, I can’t even give them one star. Caveat emptor.

  25. This is the worst company ever.. They seem to have disabled there phone line, chat email & no social media. The driver refused to deliver a package to my mom who has mobile issues & can’t walk to get downstairs in an apartment building. Tried contacting the company to complain but luck. Even left a number to call back, nothing.
    The government should close them down. So many complaints on Twitter on them. Horrible

  26. Wouldn’t recommend this company at all. My order shipped on Dec 1. It has gone to Toronto, Kitchener, missorted in Kitchener, sent back to Toronto, sent to Concord, back to Toronto, only to be missorted AGAIN, back to Concord with the latest message MISSORTED (3 times???????) are you kidding????? I’ve called four times. Three times I’ve left a call back number…..3 days later no call back. Called today on hold for over an hour no response. Oh, but they have chat available! Wait, that’s not working either….I’ve tried 6 times and it times out each time….then it tells you it’s unavailable because of high call volume. I get they’re busy, but this is ridiculous! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!

  27. Take caution using a courier service(Canpar), my package has been sitting 9 days and has not moved, they said it may be in a trailer somewhere, they can’t tell. They are still charging the same rates but give no guarantees at all. Was suppose to be a 5 day delivery, has been 17 now and the can’t tell me where it is. Looking to see if my items are for sale online locally… no customer service what so ever…. Not looking like a Canadian Company, more like a US company that does not care about service just noticed Canpar has a D- rating with the BBB. Don’t try calling, they have no answers, and I just waited well over an hour for the girl to hang up before I was finished…

  29. Ordered an online product from Walmart Oshawa, and the expected date was November 30. Went to the tracking page at Canpar, and the product was in Burnaby, BC . Finally I called Wal-Mart and they told me they would check the situation out. Finally received the package today, December 5th st 4:39 pm. The shipping label says it was coming from Milton, Ontario so why was it in BC. With the Covid-19 regulations, stipulations are that masks MUST be worn. The driver who delivered the parcel, was NOT wearing a mask and he seemed to not know what I was talking about. I was very disappointed with this service and will try not to use Canpar in the future.

  30. When I enter the tracking number, I get an error message, saying to call customer services, or to email them. I have called several times, and wait forever, before the call gets dropped. No reply to my email (other than the standard autoreply). This is so frustrating. Tried Live Chat. No one to chats to me. If it were possible to give less than one star, I would give less than one star.

  31. Two notices telling me that someone knocked on my door and stated nobody home. Both times people were in and never have we had a problem hearing the knocking at the door. I attempt to phone from number given on website, not in service.

  33. I know due to pandemic situation it may be busy. But i have been trying to call the customer service since 2 days and i have left my callback number more than 10 times. I havent received any callback.
    My delivery was not delivered and the courier just left a note saying we were closed.
    That is not possible as we are open almost 24 hours. The next attempt is today and the delivery is in “misroute” status.
    Its a urgent delivery and we have missed our deadline. Not able to contact anyone at all on Canpar Support.

    Not happy with the service. No option to give 0 stars.

  35. Tracking status showed that courier attempt delivery this morning, I was at home the whole time but didn’t even receive a knock on the door or a call to buzz the person in. There was no delivery slip left at mailbox or front door.
    Called to resolve this issue and waited for more than 30 minutes to get a hold of the customer service rep.
    The rep was very rude and confrontational, doesn’t know what he is doing and provided poor customer service quality.
    1. Claimed that I now have to pick up my package at Burnaby terminal that requires me to take a ferry to mainland BC and require driving to arrive. I got pretty upset, because this will take me 4 hours to get there and cost me $180 round trip if I bring my car to pick it up. He couldn’t identify the terminal location at Vancouver Island, and wasn’t able to provide helpful info.
    2. Told him that the courier didn’t leave a delivery slip so I can’t even go pick the package up without it. He asked me confrontationally: Are you calling here to complain or to find a solution?
    3. He threatened me by telling me, “Even if you ask me to include this information, would you even know what I wrote to the dispatcher?” He told me he knows that the company is recording, but it seems like he doesn’t even care.
    4. I asked for his name and to speak to his supervisor, he refused to give his name, he says his supervisor is not available and at home.
    5. At one point, I wanted to speak to another representative, and he told me the only way is to hang up the phone call and get back to the line. And he insisted me to hang up, and I refused because I don’t want to wait for 30 minutes again. There was a standstill between us for like 5-10 minutes, I had to tell him that I’m not hanging up and please finish what he started halfway. He was very sarcastic the rest of the call after that.

  36. I would’ve never hired Canpar but I didn’t have a choice because I ordered something online and to return it the company hired canpar to pick up the package from my house. At first I got an email saying the pickup was scheduled for one day, no one showed up. Called in the next day, after being on hold for an hour finally spoke to someone who said they will call me back to let me know if the driver can come today instead. 4 hours later when no one called me back, called canpar again and again after an hour of being hold got connected to a very rude person who basically told me that the driver could come any day and I would just have to sit at home and wait. Is this a joke? do people not work for a living? called the next day and was told they will email me when the driver is on his way and I can just leave the package outside. It’s been 3 days, no email, no call, nothing. Checked online and it says that the driver apparently tried to pick up the package but no one was home. I was home and no one came, no one knocked on the door or left any kind of notice on my door. There is no way to speak to any manager, no way to complain to anyone, no way to find out when the driver is going to show up to pick up the package. Horrible customer service, very unprofessional company

  37. I have tries unsuccessfully to contact Can Par regarding my delivery from Walmart. I placed an order with Walmart to be delivered by Canpar. Walmart advised that my order was on the move. I expected a delivery notice from Can par to advise that my order would be delivered. Date not time is usually on the delivery notice. I did not receive any information on my delivery from can par. I checked my Walmart account to see the status of my order only to see that my order had according to the information on my account that my order had been delivered to a mini mart for pickup. Also showed that the driver stated that he tried to deliver the parcel and I was not home. He lied. I was home and he did not call my apartment. I have call display, the only call I had from the lobby was UPS which delivered a parcel shortly before that Canpar driver said there was no answer. He also did not state that he would try again the following day as is the normal policy with Can par. This is an on going problem in my building . Drivers have come into the building with the delivery notice filled,stick it on the tenant directory and leave without calling the tenant. I like many of the tenants are seniors and don’t drive which is why we ask for delivery. Overall the services with customer service and delivery is terrible. None of my enquiries have been answered and my parcel was returned to Walmart.

  38. Terrible service. No sorry, what service? They don’t answer their customer service line, even after holding for an hour. They don’t call back even though that option is available, I tried that 3 times….nothing. You can’t update the address or perform any functions online, so if you can’t reach them, you’re hooped. My package has been sitting at their Burnaby Terminal for weeks. I can’t find the address for that site nor can I call them for release so That I can drive there myself or send my own courier at my expense. I am stuck with their crappy service, in a big black hole. I will never use Canpar and I will tell everyone I know, when I order online, I will insist they do not use Canpar. Other courier companies actually answer their phones even with the virus.

  39. Sloppy delivery service, the package that was intended for my wife and I was delivered a few houses down and had very sensitive personal information. How can a driver or company not clearly see an address or property number. When trying to contact for follow up only got an answering machine. If you have sensitive information do not use them.

  40. I received a phone call yesterday from delivery driver that they were unable to locate our home. They left there direct number and customer service number – I called both yesterday and left message on personal one, waiting for an hour on the other and then submitted a request to call me back on both my home and cell number – left that yesterday afternoon as well as this morning. I have had no return call as of yet.

    Can someone please email me back.

    I cannot do tracking as I do not know what parcel this is and from what supplier, and as a result don’t know what tracking number to use. i have several deliveries coming.
