Hi,

I recently bought a GoodLife Membership but noticed that there is a Fit4Less facility quite close to my house.

Since I have already purchased a membership at GoodLife, I was wondering if I could use that membership card at Fit4Less for workouts and facilities. Is it possible for me to use that card at both GoodLife and Fit4Less?

Please let me know; any answers and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

GoodLife and Fit4Less are two of Canada’s largest and most renowned gym chains. They provide multiple workout areas and a host of various workout equipment, including cardio machines and strength training weights. On the surface, they seem quite similar. This is why they are often used interchangeably, and many assume they are the same. However, that is not true. GoodLife owns Fit4Less, but that is about it. There is not much similarity between the two gyms besides these.

Despite GoodLife owning Fit4Less, you cannot use your GoodLife membership at Fit4Less.

In fact, a Fit4Less membership would also not work at GoodLife. The two gyms are entirely separate entities, each offering a unique kind of experience. They also have significant differences in their membership plans and prices. Therefore, a membership at GoodLife will provide you with access to GoodLife only and won’t give you access to Fit4Less.

A GoodLife membership is more expensive than memberships at Fit4Less. The premium price is mainly because of the variety of high-quality amenities offered by GoodLife. When compared to Fit4Less, it has more equipment and services, workout classes, personal trainers, and locations. For these reasons, GoodLife is a suitable choice for different types of people, but the same cannot be said for Fit4Less.

Considering these differences, it might seem unfair if the two gyms allowed their memberships to be used at both places. At GoodLife, you are paying a higher price for premium services. However, at Fit4Less, you can pay as low as $7.99 for two weeks. On the other hand, enrolment at GoodLife starts at $20. Therefore, you cannot expect to pay $7.99 for two weeks and get access to a gym where members have to pay $20.

Simply put, Fit4Less and GoodLife target completely different segments of the population. GoodLife is for those who can afford a premium price and want better quality equipment and personalized training. In contrast, a Fit4Less membership is for individuals who are not too particular about their fitness needs and want a gym with the basic amenities. Therefore, when opting for a membership at either of these gyms, it would be a good idea to analyze the differences between them and weigh their pros and cons. This will help you decide which of the two is more suitable for you since you will have to stick to one gym and cannot use both under one membership. Hence, do your research and make a more informed decision before committing to a gym.
