  1. If you have 5 hours to kill try to purchase a movie !!! Cinemax cancelled my old password then argued with me about my password that had 9 characters before. Now a person requires 10 plus there is no way of getting on line unless you give them your PRIVATE telephone line. So they cancelled my old account on purpose so I would create a new password requiring my phone number. Yea there we go, let’s give hackers even more of my personal info HOLY. I had saved on my Google passwords and used previousle when I bought my TV and got promo tickets and watched movies and my library was wiped out. No way to cancel a gift card as that did not appear in my account and used incorrect email address when typing information. Cineplex fix your problems no wonder you have a high staff turnover UGH!!! I cancelled my account I will by a DVD player and BUY the movie way easier. Thanks for the horrible weekend and effort I spent for a darn gift card and movie

  3. Absolutely disgusting response time or should I say NO SERVICE!!
    Needed help with my online ticket order as there were 2 sets of 4 tickets purchased but made at different theatres! I wanted to this issue to be refunded and the problem rectified. I called their customer service which reads “Need Immediate Assistance, call 1-800-333-0061. Sat on the phone for 62 minutes with no one to answer. The hours are 11am-11pm est time so I was well within the operating hours.
    Then I called the actual theatres and surprise surprise, no answer there either!!
    So I’m now out $130 dollars!! Worst service cineplex!!!!

  4. Created an account online, gave my email, now they are asking me for my phone number. Customer service confirms you can not create an account without a phone number. Unnecessarily intrusive. We used to be able to buy tickets online without providing a phone number. I guess no more cinema

  5. Cineplex has the worst customer service ever!!! The wait times on the phone is always so long and I always have to end up hanging up after 1 hour wait!!!! Terrible service definitely the worst!

I thought Cineplex was ok but now they removed them selves from my city and now my city doesnt have any theatres and it is irrating and they never made the theatre nice, one of them was decent but the other one was over price and stupid how dirty the floor was. Instead of them renevating it to get people to come in and make it nice they just abandoned them and left my city to no theatres

  8. Terrible experience. We rented movie, new Bond. Wanted to enjoy whole family movie night. The movie would not start on TV. Called customer service, it took hour and 20 minutes!!! to answer. And they did not resolve the issue.

  10. Not very happy with our experience at the Owen Sound Galaxy Cineplex last night. Checked several websites for start times to see “Rocketman” and all showed a start time of 7:20 p.m. Arrived at 6:55, bought our tickets, inquired about seating and were told, “Lots of seats available”. Walked in to a packed theater, struggled to find seats and eventually determined that we had missed the first part of the movie. Questioned manager afterwards and he said we had checked the wrong website, that we must be on Cineplex.com for the correct times. I argued that the tickets salesperson should have told us that the movie was already in progress so that we could determine if we wanted to buy the ticket or wait for another time! After insisting that it was our mistake, the Manager eventually asked how he could make it right to which we replied, “We want a free movie pass”. He did give us a free pass. Upon checking the Cineplex. com wbesite along with various others when we got home, they ALL still show a start time of 7:20 p.m VERY frustrated! I have several issues with the Owen Sound Galaxy Theater but this one tops them all! A corporate person from Cineplex was there observing operations last night when we arrived…lucky for them, he had left by the time we came out or he would have gotten an ear full!

  11. Ordered tickets online. Upon purchase, the app showed an error. Checked bank account, purchase had processed. Checked app for seats, seats were gone. No tickets were issued. Called customer care…

    Customer care was unable to explain the error. Wes told there was nothing they could do about the error, or release the seats for 90 mins (movie would have started already, we could not re-buy the same seats). Due to it being a Friday, a refund would not be able to be issued until 3-5 business days and we would have to re-purchase more tickets to see the movie at this time.

    Customer care rep repeatedly seemed annoyed and offered no compensation for the app’s error. I had to suggest to be compesated for the now 30 minute customer care call, waiting to get the issue resolved as i would have to re-book and pay for another set of tickets for the movie.

    We were finally settled with free movie passes that i had to ask for to finally get off the phone to rebook our movie experience for the evening. They would be sent in the mail in 7-10 business days.

    I don’t feel very satisfied that an error beyond customer control resulted in a loss of the seats we booked, 5 days for a refund, and 2 weeks for compesation for my time and aggrivation.

    There was no care, in this customer care experience. I was made to be felt like an inconvenience. I am terribly sorry for being your customer Cineplex. Thanks.

  12. Just a note on my experience at the Amherst,,N.S. Cineplex.After waiting in line for an hour I was told that there was no popcorn or iced tea to be had.I was told that I could wait approx.1/2 hr.,after the movie would have already started ,and return to a line where I could wait AGAIN to POSSIBLY get some.I was also offered a combo 4 which I reluctantly bought only to find that the pre-packaged popcorn was stale and I again, had to stand in line to return it for a refund, all while missing part of the movie.I don’t go to the the theatre very often because of the cost and I was extremely disappointed with this whole experience.This was a birthday treat for myself and my 11yr.old daughter.Happy birthday to ME!!!

    It astounds me that you have made your website so difficult to use to purchase a ticket as a guest. I am not a what you would consider a frequent move goer, as my frequency is around 4-5 times a year. That being said I would still expect Cineplex would like my business. However the your convoluted website has frustrated me and many other I know to no end. The if I can actual get to the point where I actual can purchase a ticket to find out I have been sent to a Third Party agent and expected to pay service fees on top of the ticket prices is outrages.
    Every time I come to your website it just reinforces why I now go to your completion Landmark Cinemas more frequently then to Cineplex.

I am here to complain my situation with cineplex.I went to cineplex marine gateway,Vancouver vip theatre for two people on may 20th 2018 for 4.15 pm show to watch deadpool2.we both are seating on E7 and E8. it was my first experience to see the movie at vip theatre.but unfortunately I had worst experience .the seats are not clean with pop corns all over
    On two seats and dirty floor with popcorn.i was totally disappointed and frustrating

    I just wanted to let you know how disappointed I am with the lack of customer service in the Vaughan cineplex location (in Ontario). I have called them on March 13th to request information regarding birthday parties for my daughter. They took my name and number and said they will call me back within 15-20 minutes. They never called me back. I tried calling back several times but they would not pick up the phone. I left a message and filled the form online to request dates available. (It mentions online that they would get back writhin 24-48 hours, well that didn’t happen.) I have been calling for the past 5 days at different times of the day with no success. No one picks up the phone or responds to messages. I gave up! Very disappointed!

    Note: I contacted the Richmond hill location as well. This location called me right away and also responded to my online inquiry within 24 hours. Unfortunately, their earliest date available was at the end of April.

  16. Why is it so hard to talk to a person? The on line app is not working and the design is worse. My customer experience, needless to say, is pathetic and fed up. You should have contact information for Jacob Ellis and others so that the people who matter can get direct feedback. I’ve now wasted an hour trying to buy tickets. I am not happy.
