Whole Foods was started back in 1978 when John Mackey and Renee Lawson opened their natural foods store SaferWay in Austin Texas. After purchasing Whole Foods Company in 1988, the couple opened several chains of natural food stores. In the early 2001, the Whole Foods Market was started in Northern California. Whole Foods Canada’s goal is to provide the highest quality natural and organic products possible while nourishing and satisfying our customers. Practicing environmental stewardship both in our communities and with our suppliers, Whole Foods Canada promotes health amongst our stakeholders.
