Was at a and w in vaughn , major mackenzie and city view , they refused to make my order saying they didn't have any lettuce and couldn't make any burgers.... is this place a joke ...... place should be shut down and re-train the people that work there .... if the employees all 3 of them don't want to work they shouldn't be there making a bad name out of a and w .... this is not the first time at this location .
Everything was cold except my root beer which was warm chicken strips and onion rings were stale..delivered with bag wide open not stapled closed disgusting! Worst A&W I've ever experienced.
Could it be that A&W is really busy, but twice now we've not gotten what we've asked for, a mix up in orders, and when we tried to explain, what we wanted they did not seem to get it, so we just left! We like A&W, our favourite place, I don't like complaining, but!
Went to local outlet, asked for special & was told to download coupon via store wifi. When I tried my phone security said the wifi was not safe. If I get coupon at home from a safe connection I am told it will expire in 20 minutes. Problem - I live at least 25 minutes away from nearest store.
This process is geared to urbanites who have stores within 20 minutes of where the coupon can be downloaded safely.
Why not allow me to download and the print the coupon for use in the store?
I am now a FORMER weekly customer at A&W until A&W gets this working for people more than 20 minutes from a store and who don't want to expose their phone to an unsecure wifi.

Got 2 teen burgers and was shocked at what we received. One had no bacon other had a tiny 2 inch piece cheese was very small also got onion rings at bottom was fries and had like 4 onions rings lesson learned…used to be do good…gone totally downhill. Such a shame…very disappointing! Won’t go back!
I want to A&W in kanata location in edgewater with coupon the manager didn’t want to except the coupon she called me liar and kicked me out of business. When I made complaints to A&W the some person called.that’s stupid company bad service I will never again go to A&W
I'm not one to leave a bad comment or bash a company when i have a bad experience at a local restaurant. The main reason why i'm leaving this comment is because it's something that consistantly happens everytime when a certain employee is working in the kitchen. Now everytime i go there and order. All i see is people looking at monitors. Wich is part of there jobs, it's a work tool that is placed for your convenience and order accuracy. Now can anyone please explain to me that why is it, that after all this time LOOKING at montitors they can see if it's a bacon egger, all canadian breakfast, what kind of eggs..etc. They can see ALL of this, but they won't see any extras that has been added to the order. (Extra bacon, extra saussage, add an egg etc) Now if its something that happened once, ok big deal, no big whoop.
Once it happens to you every SINGLE time, you start getting annoyed. Now, i'm mentioning this because i never get my extras that i ask. I always return to the store and ask for them. Today! November 19 2020. I entered the restaurant on Champlain street in Dieppe, where I always USED to go to get a breakfast or a coffee before starting my day at work. I got greeted by a very friendly cashier, she took my order. I ordered an all canadian breakfast with a large coffee. I asked the cashier to add a side of bacon to the plate. Now i stepped aside and waited while the friendly cashier made my coffee and handed to me. As i thanked her, i picked up my coffee and stepped back and waited for my order. I stepped in and ordered at 10h35 am, now mind you, there was no one else in the store at this moment. There was a woman waiting for promo gift cards, she wasn't waiting for food and i was the only one waiting for an order. I ended up waiting for 17 maybe 18 mins for my breakfast. My shift was starting at 11 am. The whole time i was waiting, the cook in the back checked his phone 3 times. It doesnt take 17 or 18 mins to cook scramble eggs. If the Cook would put his attention to his JOB, the way he pays attention to his phone...these mistakes would be minimized. Now, i get my order at 10h47 am, i have the cashier looking at the plate and says to the cook, this has a side of bacon added, she ASKED him? "Does it have it"? He looked the plate and nodded and said "Yes, it's in there" She handed my order and i walked out very annoyed, knowing i only had like 5 to maybe 8 mins to eat my breakfast. I step in my work area, i sit down and spread my toast i look if side of bacon was added. The bacon was there, i had just 1 sausage. Now! AGAIN! this happens, no big deal! Today, it didnt slide with me, They made me wait almost 20 MINS For my breakfast. I was hungry, and i didnt want to eat a cold plate again because of their ignorance. I had 2 PEOPLE LOOKING at my plate before handing it over to me. When they CLEARLY know the plate should have 2 sausages on the plate. I litterly lost it, knowing its because of the cocky and ignorant cook that keeps looking at his phone during work. I returned to the restaurant, and at this point my breakfast is cold. I walk in and demand for a refund. The young male cashier that greeted me asked me if i had my receipt. I was there maybe 3 mins ago. I started getting VERY annoyed and wanted to leave, when a woman employee that works there and knows me very well, headed towards the cash and handed me my money back, wich i insisted that i wanted. I Clearly stated, "I'm never coming back here again" "You guys always do this to me!" This is something that happens alot, and they act as if it's ok. They get a free pass! They don't respect my time and money, then i'll take my business elsewhere. When i left, the manager was still in the back snd never came and assisted the situation. So! Maybe the solution would be to Re-structure management, since the cellphone is accepted in the kitchen, and the manager doesn't seem that she is needed up front when there is a un-happy customer to the store. I am leaving this comment, not because i expect something to be done about it. It probably won't do anything but to make me look like an idiot. I'm putting this comment so that the other un-sastisfied customers that will encounter this MIA manager and this ignorant social media addicted cook. The people will know that i wasn't over reacting at all! So all in all! I didnt get my breakfast, ended up being late for work, and started my day angry and hungry! Thank you A&W
last week I took my friend and his family out and we decided on A and W. It had been years for me. We ordered ten chicken burgers, fries and three poutine. When we got home we discovered that we only got two poutine. no big deal, mistakes can happen. I enjoyed the burgers so this weekend past I decided to go back again. We ordered the same things, but at the end I mentioned that last week that we were given one less. I was going to ask them to make sure that they counted properly this time, but before I could get that out, the manager began to aggressively tell me that I should have called the store right away and that they would have put my name in the book. That was not my point. I just wanted to ensure that because of the large order that they did not miss anything. Also, if I was working there, I would have at least added, '"sorry sir, I will make sure that happens, and if that ever happens again, please just call our number and let us know and we will make it good the next time" . Instead I get a confrontational lecture. I will not be back to A and W again. The restaurant is in Rockland, Ontario
