Amazon Prime is an excellent website that offers a myriad of benefits to its members. With a membership on Amazon Prime, you can consume unlimited movies, shows, music, books, and magazines. You also get exclusive access to deals and discounts as well as free delivery on selected items.

The Amazon Prime memberships start from CDN$ 7.99 per month with applicable taxes. This is relatively cheaper than all the competitive streaming platforms. You can start your membership for free for one month as a trial period, after which you will need to start paying them every month.

But the website is only great for those who need it. If you have signed up for it and think that you no longer need it or not for you, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Whether you have signed up for a trial or paid for your subscription, you can end it whenever you want without any additional charges. In fact, you can even get a refund from them in some cases.

Cancelling Amazon Prime

If you want to cancel your subscription at Amazon Prime, you can do it quickly since the process is quite simple and straightforward. You simply need to log in and enter your password. Then click on the “Accounts and List” tab. There will then be a tab that says, “Update, Cancel, and More.” You must click on it then click “Prime Membership.” Select the “Manage Membership” drop-down on the top right-hand corner, then click “End membership.”

You will then be redirected to another page where you will have to click on “Cancel My Benefits.” Then, simply follow the instructions and prompts. Before cancelling your benefits, you might be asked multiple times by Amazon if you really want to cancel your subscription. You will have to select “Continue to Cancel” to get past these questions and pages.

Once you have cancelled your subscription on Amazon Prime, any of your other memberships in conjunction with Amazon will also be cancelled. These include those on Amazon Prime Video, Kindle, and more. Amazon will not renew or cancel your Prime. Moreover, if you have signed up for Amazon Prime through an outside company, like Sprint, Amazon states that you must contact that company directly to cancel since they manage your account.

Getting Refunds from Amazon

If you have been a member of Amazon Prime, paid for their membership, and did not use any of their benefits, the company states on their website that you will be eligible for a full refund. Additionally, if you cancel your membership three business days after your trial period ends, you will also be offered a refund in this case. But this is provided if you did not use any of the benefits during your trial period.

In some cases, those who partially used their benefits might also be eligible for a refund. They will process the refund in three to five business days. You should contact the company if you think you might be eligible or visit their website for more information.
