  2. Tangerine is the WORST bank on the planet! Their fraud department are clueless and are very RUDE in dealing with matters at hand! I have since taken my business to another bank without the attitude and willingness to help a client! If and when you FINALLY reach someone in a department your entire day is shot due to the fact you’ve waiting on the line for so long! Terrible experience STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

  3. I have been trying to get an Agent in Investments for 10 days now – there are huge wait times and am not willing to be put on hold for 30 or more minutes!!!! They don’t even offer taking our phone # and calling back in a stated time ………am thinking of taking my Business for hInvestments back to a Chartered Bank -,forget the understaffed Customer Service – they don’t deserve the review ratings they have ….certainly not true!

  4. I suspected a fraud on my account and could NOT get hold of anyone at this bank. I have no idea where the average reviews come from on this website but it’s not the customers – if you do an independent search for customer service reviews for this bank, across the board they are terrible – yet all they can do is state how AMAZING they are on the website, which just goes to show they have no clue how to listen to customers and it’s more corporate BS.

    They give the strong impression of not giving a damn about my issue so I will be moving my funds away from this bank at the earliest opportunity. Yes, it’s a free account and I guess you get what you pay for.

    My advice, open up a high interest savings account for 5 months, park your funds, then take your interest and move it somewhere else.

  7. I give up trying to do business with Tangerine. Very frustrating!!

    I spent a considerable amount of time getting info and deciding to give Tangerine a try. I wanted to transfer a fairly large amount of money from a credit union account into a TFSA with Tangerine but can see no way of doing it. It seems you must link to a REAL bank’s chequing account or nothing. I only have savings and term deposits with my credit union, so I guess there’s no way for me to deposit with Tangerine. When I tried to call for customer support, there were no options to talk to a human being to ask a question.

    Good grief, they have the gall to claim “award winning customer service”. I guess the employees all got together and decided to award that to themselves…as the phone rang on and on unanswered.
